Everybody loves a bit of inspiration. It gives us a little more fuel to get through a grueling day; it provides a spark of hope when there seems to be none; it gives us a smile as we face challenges we thought would beat us down.
One of the most brilliant things about Social Media, and one reason it took off, infiltrated our society and will not go away, is that it gives us the ability to share and receive inspiration from just about everywhere we spend our time.
Take, for example, Ronnie Lott. “As a ten-time Pro Bowl selection and a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer, Ronnie is one of the most respected figures in professional sports” he has engaged in his community and shares what inspires him in the form of tweets.
Ronnie worked with equally inspiring friend Keith Potter to put together 140 of his Aha moments from coaching and sports to share. He puts these out as tweets, or you can do what I did: get the book to tuck in a convenient place so you have these inspirational words to get you through the day right at your finger tips. By the way, the book is “SPORTStweet: What I Learned from Coaches About Sports and Life”
Why am I sharing this in a blog post? I re-tweet a lot of things, but this book is just too important to not explain the importance of it. So, check it out. Let us know what you think: leave a comment below with your favorite inspiration of 120 characters or less. Share the wealth you’re carrying around in your heart.
