LinkedIn announced Friday that they have added an optional two-step verification process to help prevent account hacking. Basically, it requires a verification code, sent by SMS to your mobile phone, every time you connect from a new device.
This is a great feature if you’re more concerned about security than convenience. It’s kind of a pain if you frequently access LinkedIn from internet cafes, friend’s houses, offices you’re visiting, etc. Fortunately, it’s optional, and off by default, so you can choose what works best for you.
