Hi, I’m Scott Allen, and I’m the man behind the curtain of Linked Intelligence.
I run this site to make money, not just as a community service. The best way to do that is by creating value for you, the reader, and then recommending products and services and receiving a commission for the referral. That continues to create value for you and allows me to continue providing this resource free of charge. If you feel this site has provided you value, I greatly appreciate you supporting it by purchasing products and services through the various affiliate links on the site.
In the sidebars, across the header, and occasionally at the bottom of individual posts you will find advertising. If the ads say “Ads by Google”, then the ads are provided by Google AdSense based on the content of the page, and I make no warranties whatsoever as to the content or quality of the offers. If the ads do not say “Ads by Google”, then it is a product hand-selected and recommended by me.
Occasionally I may use affiliate links in context. They will usually either be to Amazon, for a book, or in the form “http://LinkedIntelligence/go/…”. The latter is not intended to mask the fact that it’s an affiliate link, but is used for both cosmetic and tracking purposes. Again, all affiliate links in editorial content are hand-selected and recommended by me.
What constitutes “recommended”?
I do my best to thoroughly investigate products before recommending them. That does not necessarily mean I’ve used them myself. As one of the most experienced LinkedIn experts around, it wouldn’t exactly make sense for me to have used other people’s LinkedIn training or to have read every single LinkedIn-related book cover-to-cover. In most cases, I personally know and have conversed and/or collaborated with the author/service provider for some period of time.
No warranties, but…
While I make no warranties regarding the products and services I recommend, I do put my reputation at stake with each and every one of them. As such, it’s very important to me to get feedback about those recommendations. If you’d like to share your experience with me about one of my recommendations — good, bad, or otherwise interesting — please contact me. I value your feedback.
Free evaluation goods & services
I love getting free stuff and writing about it. I will always disclose in the post if I have received free goods or services for evaluation purposes. I will always share my 100% honest opinion of those goods and services, regardless of the fact that I got them for free.
