LinkedIn Open Networking FAIL

OpenNetworkingFail

3 per day? How about 3 ever???

Posting open LinkedIn connection requests on Twitter is:

  1. Noise. It’s certainly not conversation or relationship-building.
  2. Desperate. Ugh. Who wants to connect with desperate?
  3. Ineffective. What’s the value of those trivial electronic links? Referrals require trust.

  • I am amazed how people just want to collect names. No relationship, nothing. I have never been approached on Twitter about Linkedin but I do get Facebook solicitations from some of my followers.

Thanks for putting the “Referrals require Trust” link, I preach it all the time, online or in person you must develop trust.
